Ella Jones Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 Hi, I deleted a file by mistake in processwire. I am not the one who has made the website, so I do not know how to restore this file. Is there an easy way to find it? A thrasbin of sorts? There is no such thing in the website. But I have seen examples of this on other websites, so maybe it is possible to code something like this and the file will be there? I will apprechiate any help i can get :)
netcarver Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 Do you know what the location and name of the file you deleted was? Also, is this site hosted on a Windows or Linux machine?
Ella Jones Posted June 7, 2021 Author Posted June 7, 2021 Its on a Windows machine. And yes I now the location of the file
Ella Jones Posted June 7, 2021 Author Posted June 7, 2021 Oh wait I think I formulated my question badly.. So i didnt delete it in the "coding area" but in the already made processwire page. So i deleted a page that is shown on the website. And since i did not make the website i dont have the originale coding-files.. (Excuse my weak coding-language)
netcarver Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 Ah, in that case, log in to the admin area of your site as a superuser and scroll down the page list until you find the "Trash" can... Now locate the page you deleted and hover over it. You should now see the restore option... Hope that helps. 2
Ella Jones Posted June 7, 2021 Author Posted June 7, 2021 Thank you so much for all your help? It is up and running again now! 2
