Why cant I name a template like this?

1-section-name

I get an error
The name "1" is already in use

No problem doing that here. What version of PW are you running?

Yes creating a new template from scratch works.

I should have been more clear, try renaming basic-page, to 1-basic-page.

This is when the error occurs.

Still no problem here on 2.7.2 (the latest stable version) and 3.0.2. 

Is there any reason you are still on 2.6.1?

Not saying that is the problem - I don't remember any changes that might have affected this, but might be worth a shot, and you have nothing to lose - there are so many great new features in 2.7.2.

Strangely enough, upgrading has fixed the issue.
