  1. @jmartsch Yes, it's intriguing. But if I understood it correctly, it's for the admin, not the front end display. Back end builders can be great and I've always liked the PW appreach. They allow designers to control design and editors to control content. That's not the same though as what has really taken off over the last couple years in WP world. Which is a truly WYSIWYG front end builder which is also not ideal for many situations but is ideal for certain situations. Not saying PW necessarily needs something similar.
  2. Thanks pwired. Of course, your right that Page Builders have several downsides. I know I'm not exactly an active member of these forums, but I think I have a perspective that could be useful to this discussion. I am not advocating for PW to go this route. Just trying to highlight that there is a valid use case—those in which loading time and future proofing is not your top priority (everything can't be number 1)—and show Builders that are doing it well.
  3. I agree that page builders are not something you usually want to hand off to a client. However, I have found the new crop of WordPress Page Builders to be useful even as someone who codes. Namely, in circumstances when budgets are limited and quick landing page iteration is necessary. If I want to change a section from 2 to 3 columns or insert a call to action block with a different image size, a decent page builder allows me to do it without diving back into the template. It saves me time as long as I can work within the constraints. In other words, a Clickfunnels-Squarespace interface (these builders are better than both of those) have their place—at least in my world. That being said, I'd always rather use ProcessWire over WordPress. I wonder if one of the 3rd party page builder developers could be wooed to port to ProcessWire? Check out Elementor: https://elementor.com/ Brizy and Divi look decent as well. What do you think?
  4. This is great. I take some time to look over these. Thanks!
  5. Hi all, I was able to use Processwire for an ecommerce build a couple of years ago and I really enjoyed working with it. I am looking at a new project now and am currently seeking the best solution. I'm fairly certain that Processwire can handle this project but am not sure if it is the most efficient choice. What I'll be creating is a niche music streaming app. I know that PW will handle all the custom data and user roles beautifully, but there are some areas, I am not yet sure how I'd tackle in PW. I anyone has any insight, it would be much appreciated. Subscription management; payment integration; member restriction. AJAX front end editing for building playlists & "likes" Audio player stat collection And the last thing I'm not sure about is if PW is ideal as a backend for a mobile app that will be created. Thanks so much for your feedback. Ian
  6. @Wanze I kinda assumed that using 3 was part of it. I'll look forward to the update. Thank you for your reply.
  7. I keep getting a cache error. I can delete cache then page loads then won't load again as new cache is created. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Parse Error: syntax error, unexpected ',' (line 44 of /home4/subtlem2/public_html/vocalcoach.rede-commerce.com/site/assets/cache/TemplateEngineTwig_compile/66/664c8e217f20e0ab2fed758d06f848fe2e2306d2a4af4cd131d4155af1b015e0.php) This error message was shown because: site is in debug mode.
