InputFieldIcon in own templates

Hello all,

Is it at all possible to use the new InputFieldIcon field in my own templates?

I don't see the option to select it when creating a new field.

I think you can't as there's no fieldtype using it. I think Ryan did it mostly to give module developers the chance to reuse the code. But there's a 3rd party module that does allow for icon selection: https://processwire.com/talk/topic/8960-fieldtypefonticonpicker/
