How do I make a select drop down menu or a button in the admin?

In the admin, I have a custom field that I would like to be a Text Field presented as a drop down menu -. I can make it a Text, but can't see how to make it a drop down? I also need a button, in the admin for a specific page template..

I'm sure this is simple, but can't see how it is done. The admin page has this for the "process" field.

Hi Peter,

You need to make use of a Page reference field type instead of a Text field type. When you create a Page reference, it will use a group of pages (based on your criteria) as select options. You can choose for it to be either a regular select, select multiple, or other input type after you create the field. (I need to make a screencast to demonstrate this fieldtype).

This is one way that ProcessWire is a little different from other systems, and it might seem a little odd at first, but once you try it, the benefits become obvious and hard to beat.
