Is it safe to edit the admin page under its page settings, and rename it from /processwire/ to something less findable? When I go live, I want everyone to know the great CMS I used, but just for a tiny bit of extra security, I'd rather the url to the login page be something people can't guess. :)

Sure you can with no problem, just have to remember it. :D

Remaining the /processwire/ page is always a good idea, especially if your client is prone to using insecure passwords with their accounts.
When you first rename it, note that you may get a 404 after saving it. That's okay–it's expected since the admin moved. :) Just navigate back to your new admin location.

It is good that it is possible to rename the admin site. But I do not quite understand how this can be done? In what file?

Alex, welcome to the forums. That can be done from admin site. Just edit page "Admin" on your page tree and change it name under settings tab.
