Hey guys I'm down with an actual install, now finally.

I've met quite a few friendly folks here on the forums in my other thread, which details a very ambitious project I would like to tackle someday.

Anyways, I'm hoping to work through the recommended tutorial aka Sci-Fi thriller building an actual Solar System, and thought I should start another thread.

Below is the link for the tutorial Joss recommended:

http://wiki.processwire.com/index.php/Small_Project_Walkthrough

and this one: http://wiki.processwire.com/index.php/Basic_Website_Tutorial

To start I am working on a local copy of Xampp.

I may get even get a couple versions of local installs going.

In the end I would like to get a live version of the project going at my domain crssp, and add some fun graphics for anyone in the community to benefit from. If there is a real actual live demo, I don't think I've visited that link if so?

Below is the default site install (screenshot below for v.2.2 Basic Example Site), which according to the tutorial gets me up and running fast, with nothing to uninstall, an added bonus! :)

Awesome, much more my speed then.

I was thinking to make a fun little demo for the planets site.

Imagining parallex scrolling with planet backgrounds, I've never really done any parallax scrolling sites either.

Think I'll dig into that second one though, as it more applies to my other project.

Saved again...

I keep getting a malware sort of popup I don't think it's got anything to do with the wiki site.

Anybody heard of uavou malware aka arcade candy, I just installed malware bytes, and it didn't get the little bugger

  :(

You may want to see if you have arcade candy installed on your computer - it may have got installed with something else.

There are various guides to manually removing uavou if you search on google - looks like a tedious job but a necessary one.

I uninstalled he Arcade Candy, nobody admits to installing that one, lol.

Hope that took care of it, MalwareBytes with a full scan found nothing so it was of no help.

This morning I realized maybe it was as easy as uninstalling Arcade Candy.

My search functions in the Chrome browser were def. being hijacked.

Sorry for going off topic, never had many problems on my home machine either, till that.

Off to visit the freelancers board.

Back on track, should I have any security concerns if I install PW in a directory at the root called wire.

The system folder is at /wire/wire/.

Does this sound like a bad practice, having installed PW into that folder, security-wise?

Jsut checking...

Thanks :)

Not sure I'll need to rename it then.

How easy is it to rename the install directory after installation?

What changes would need made now that it is already installed?

thanks to fredd-āāy of course ;)

Sorry for the newbie questions.
