Getting Compile statement written to top of front end pages

Hello,

 I upgraded to 3.0.18. I did the upgrade by updating the wire folder, index.php and .htaccess.

When I go to vew any of the site pages, I am seeing the two lines listed below.

compile(\ProcessWire\wire("config")->paths->root . 'site/templates/header.php' ,array('includes'=>true,'namespace'=>true,'modules'=>true,'skipIfNamespace'=>true)))?>

I tried to find an answer for this but was not successful.

If anyone can help or make a suggestion,  it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bill C, what caused your problem?

I get this, compile statement on the homepage, when I try to install Processwire on an Amazon EC2 instance/virtual server.
