Ryan Cramer

Project founder and lead developer

Ryan Cramer is the founder and lead developer of ProcessWire. He specializes in the development of content management frameworks/systems, web sites and web applications. Ryan has been developing content management related applications since 1990 (originally for BBSs). His primary focus for this project is development and support of the ProcessWire core, which he has done since 2006. ProcessWire is a free/open source project used by more than 5,000 web developers around the world with more than 100k installations estimated as of 2021.

Ryan studied Computer Science at GMU, followed by Media Arts and Design at JMU (graduated 1999). Prior to starting ProcessWire, Ryan worked as a Senior Web Designer and Developer at Grafik in Alexandria, VA. He currently resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife and two daughters.
