pwired
My clients domainname got stolen. There was a webshop on it with health products. If you try to open the domain now in your browser A white and sometims a grey screen comes up. However if you right click and go to View Page Source there is all kind of info there such as clicktrackUrl: 'http://parkingcrew.net/ I did not make this webshop but maintained it for somebody after his webmaster moved to another country. This is the stolen domain, I write it with spaces trying to keep it out of google indexing this post. b o d y - s a l v a t i o n dot com how could this happen ? I am not so good at this but If anyone can have a look in View Page Source and maybe can see who took the domain and maybe more things. Thanks
Ivan Gretsky
Maybe they just hacked your site but not domain? Ping the url and see, where this page lives. Maybe it is on your server.
marcus
Looks like a typical automated domain grabbing. Does your customer usually have to auto-renew his domain at his hoster? Does he own the trademark of "Body salvation" and can apply legal charges? But frankly, pwired, I strongly doubt ProcessWire General Support is the right forum for this since it has nothing to do with PW.
pwired
Maybe they just hacked your site but not domain? I have no access anymore to cpanel and ftp The hoster said this is because the domain no longer points to his server. But frankly, pwired, I strongly doubt ProcessWire General Support is the right forum for this since it has nothing to do with PW. Yes I know but I thought this would be the best place for me to ask. cstevensjr
Just an FYI, any domain you own or manage should be Locked to prevent this from happening.

horst
Just an FYI, any domain you own or manage should be Locked to prevent this from happening. How can this be done? Especially if the domains are used on a shared hosting and the hosting provider has done register it etc.?
Pete
Using this tool: http://centralops.net/co/ There are two other companies listed further down the page: InternetX and Schlund Technologies - either of those sound familiar? Domain Status: clientTransferProhibited It could have been locked after being transferred easily. Do you still have access to maintain the domain at the domain registrar? It's not clear from your first post.

pwired
It could have been locked after being transferred easily. Pete, that is how it looks at the moment. http://www.whois.com/whois/b o d y - s a l v a t i o n . c o m (remove the spaces, does that help anyway ?) New registar company is internet.bs I don't know who was the former registar company because my boss was doing the billing and administration for that. He hires me to do the site maintenance and I had only access to cpanel and ftp. But that is lost also because it depends on the domain pointing to the webhoster which is aaa.hosting.de They are without blame. internet.bs seems to be the new registar company but under what registrant name ? Don't understand. I found their contact email address contact-en@internet.bs and sent them an email hoping they will respond.
Manfred62
found this about internet bs (quote from this site) Many of these domains were registered at the Registrar "Internet.BS" which many researchers believe is a good name for a company that willingly registers so many domains for the criminals who spread so much BullShip on the internet. seems to be a nice company... They reside on the sunny side (Bahamas). Try this e-mail: abuse@internet.bs More to read about them BTW: please place such posts under dev or pub. This is no PW topic.
