Repeater In Module Config

I'm just getting used to using repeaters in pages (yeah, I'm slow) but haven't been able to find out if they can be used as part of the InputfieldWrapper returned by getModuleConfigInputfields() for configurable modules. I suspect they can't but would be happy if I were wrong.

Can anyone give a definitive answer?

No they can't (not as is). As you also can't use Multilanguage inputfields.

Repeaters are stored as pages somewhere else, while the module config is stored to the module table as json (?).

Thanks for confirming that. So if I want to use a repeater presumably I'll have to have the module add a page under setup and use it in there.

I'm also trying to use a repeater field in my ConfigurableModule mymodule.config.php
