How to turn off fatal error email notification?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Is there a way to turn off fatal error notification without nullifying or commenting out:

$config->adminEmail

Thx

Rudy

Fixing the error is no option? :)

I can imagine there are situations where fixing is not the best option, for example I just created a filter for my mailbox that deletes warning emails about AIOM warning

Quote

PHP Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in .../site/assets/cache/FileCompiler/site/modules/AllInOneMinify/AllInOneMinify.module:713

In this case fixing the issue would mean hacking this module, what I do not want to do. On the other side those warning e-mails are annoying, so I came up with the filter solution (deleting e-mails containing "AllInOneMinify.module:713"). So I still get other warnings but don't get annoyed by this special one.

Maybe that's also an option for you? Fatal error sounds a little more serious though than my php warning ;)

@bernhard, good one! I think you still get error messages even if it's not fatal.

We have over 200 PW sites. Errors like these pops up every day and it's filling up my designated mailbox.

Exception: SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1062 Duplicate entry '41-0' for key 'PRIMARY'

Ideally, we should be able to tunnel all errors to Mongo or ELK stack where I can review errors from each site and fix accordingly.

What do you think?

Maybe setup some simple rules with Zapier or IFTTT? Perhaps even post automated tickets to JIRA or some similar app?

btw, the same error appeared earlier in the forums:

I think that integrity constraint violation definitely needs attention!

But back to the issue at hand - have you tried using Tracy in Production mode to log the errors. When she emails, she only sends one until you clear the sent email flag, so your inbox won't be bombarded with repeat errors.

Tracy also has Slack and Monolog adapters: https://componette.com/search/tracy available, but I guess it wouldn't be hard to write a Jira one if you prefer that.

How to track it down? Every now and then I get it too but so far no luck figuring it out and everything seems to running without issues. It's hard to fix something which does not seem to be broken.

Hey all. I'm having an issue with the new custom page classes feature which is a fantastic tool.
I am running into a recursion issue when attempting to call a custom page class. I have a class called BlogPostPage.php (for blog-post.php) which contains a method called getSummary(). That method gets a summary field or truncates the body in it's absence. I've attached photos of the template code, custom page class code (which I've simplified for testing), and the PW output error.
There is no recursion in the getSummary() method. This error occurs whether I output multiple blog posts in a loop or if I output one blog post with no looping in my template code.

      In use:
      ProcessWire 3.0.164 dev
      PHP 7.3.13

I am also using the Template Engine Twig module which has not caused any errors or issues thus far.
      Many thanks!

I'm hoping someone has seen this before. There doesn't appear to be an issue with the user info.

      Hi all
My .htaccess file is correctly redirecting all requests to
https:// www. That's great until I want to work locally.
I thought I had seen a blog post by Ryan where there was a new config setting to ignore both of these if working from localhost?
I can't find it now so wondering if I was imagining 😕

      Hello Dear PW Gurus.

Hope you fair well in these Corona Crisis times.

Anyhow, i have a problem with a Cryptic error message that shows up when i am trying to Delete images out of a Images field.
The Error message does say a little but it does not make sense to me why i can´t delete the images because of it.

Is it some permission issue perhaps?

I will attach screenshots of it and what i did prior to it.
I am from sweden so ignore the funny words here and there.

Hope you all can send me on the right track.
i am running PW 3.0.139 on this install.

      Step1:

Step 2: Select the images with the trashcan symbol

      Step 3: Cryptic Error message

I am scratching my head on this one, have not seen this before.

      Thankfull for all help.

Hello forum. I'm trying to figure out how to detect if current form has errors after saving it in pw admin page. This is so that our event location isn't added in database if we detect errors. But I can't seem to find a correct way to detect errors? I only found the wire()->errors() and it always triggers even if I don't have any errors.
How can I detect errors in a form?
      By error I mean $page->error('this is the red error');
