If you haven't heard about it yet you should read about these new vulnerabilities that affect almost any computer built since 1995

but we should not forget this one either:

https://www.techrepublic.com/article/is-the-intel-management-engine-a-backdoor/

"Is the Intel Management Engine a backdoor?
Yes, of course it is. By its very definition (from Wikipedia):
A backdoor is a method, often secret, of bypassing normal authentication in a product, computer system, cryptosystem or algorithm etc. Backdoors are often used for securing unauthorized remote access to a computer, or obtaining access to plaintext in cryptographic systems."

By definition Meltdown and Spectre are also backdoors, intentionally designed ones, btw. We are talking about hardware intentionally implemented to bypass security checks by design. It was just not "advertised".

@bernhard Please change the title. I get the joke but it is quite misleading...

I agree, it's bad humor with Processwire's credit. Seems to become a new habit as there was this one before:

What's good humor for you? No humor? Give it a break guys... I think the "Finally" in the beginning of the sentence reveals it all immediately.

@bernhard I liked the irony of adding the <ironic> tags ;)
