I'd like to get some general feedback from people using the module. If you have a minute, please share your experiences or issues (even those that are self-resolved, if any). If it's looking stable enough, I'd like to bump to stable v1. If there are issues, please also feel free to let me know. Thanks!

Haven't used it directly in a while, but it is live and running on at least 3 sites and haven't had any troubles with those.

Thanks Macrura :)

I actually see that I'm going to need to bump PHP Typography to 6.x first, which means I'll land up bumping the module version to 0.5 for a little testing. Looks like there's been a cleanup and some new features added, as well as a bunch of hyphenation languages. Will open an issue for that shortly.

Hi,

I currently updating my website, and run with problem with Typographer. I use version 0.4.0 on local 7.0.30-0ubuntu0.16.04.1

Strangely I have this problem only in my home page (other pages seems to work), so I guess it's a specific setting but no idea which one. Can you see it?

Thanks!

Mel

Hi @mel47

Seems odd as the vendor directory is included, and autoloaded. I'll need to take a look at this, but I'm afraid I'll only have time to do so this coming weekend. I'll open up an issue on Git in the meantime.

Which version of PW are you running?

Hi @Mike Rockett

Sorry, I forgot to mention. I updated last week to the last dev version 3.105. It should be related to either PW version or PHP version, since on my production website, with the same settings and same data, it works fine.

I was able to delimited to a specific part :

Spoiler

$abstracts = $pages->find("template=publication, categ_publi=1108, limit=4, sort=-year, sort=-date_sort"); // abstract

foreach($abstracts as $c) {
			$congres[$c->congress] = $c;
	}

		<h4 class='title is-4'>
	  	<span class='icon is-medium'><i class='fa fa-globe fa-fw' aria-hidden='true'></i></span>
		{$abstracts->first()->categ_publi->title}s</h4>
			<div class='columns'>";
				foreach($congres as $c) {
					$content .= "<div class='column'><div class='box'>
					<div class='title is-6'><a href='{$c->url}'>{$c->congress}</a></div>
					<div class='columns is-multiline is-inline-mobile is-centered'>
						<div class='column'>
						<span class='icon'><i class='fa fa-calendar fa-fw' aria-hidden='true'></i></span>
						<p class='is-inline-mobile'>{$c->congress_date} {$c->year}</p>
						</div>
						<div class='column'>
						<span class='icon'><i class='fa fa-map-marker fa-fw' aria-hidden='true'></i></span>
						<p class='is-inline-mobile'>{$c->congress_location}</p>
						</div>
					</div></div></div>";
				}

I received error for the "congress field". I tried to change the data or even empty, but it didn't change the error. Even deleting "<div class='title is-6'><a href='{$c->url}'>{$c->congress}</a></div>" doesn't help. Everywhere else in the website where it uses this field, I get the same error.

Thanks!

EDIT: I refine more the issue by comparing my different fields, problematic or not. This field have some (I export data from a other software, and it's difficult to remove them). Could it be the problem? It wasn't in previous version of PW.

@mel47 – Hmm, I migrated the site to my newer dev environment, and the issue’s no longer showing up. That said, the Typography package appears to have been updated considerably, so I think it might be an idea to do an upgrade there...

      A simple module to enable easy navigation between the public and the admin side of the site. After installation a green bar will appear to the upper side of the screen, containing a few navigation elements and displaying the PW version number.
      Heavily inspired by @apeisa's great AdminBar (Thanks!). I needed a bit simpler tool for my projects and as a result, this was made. Available on GitHub .

      I've created a small module which lets you define a timestamp after which a page should be accessible. In addition you can define a timestamp when the release should end and the page should not be accessable any more.
      Github: https://github.com/Sebiworld/PageAccessReleasetime
      Usage
      PageAccessReleasetime can be installed like every other module in ProcessWire. Check the following guide for detailed information: How-To Install or Uninstall Modules
      After that, you will find checkboxes for activating the releasetime-fields at the settings-tab of each page. You don't need to add the fields to your templates manually.
      Check e.g. the checkbox "Activate Releasetime from?" and fill in a date in the future. The page will not be accessable for your users until the given date is reached.
      If you have $config->pagefileSecure = true, the module will protect files of unreleased pages as well.
      How it works
      This module hooks into Page::viewable to prevent users to access unreleased pages:
      public function hookPageViewable($event) { $page = $event->object; $viewable = $event->return; if($viewable){ // If the page would be viewable, additionally check Releasetime and User-Permission $viewable = $this->canUserSee($page); } $event->return = $viewable; } To prevent access to the files of unreleased pages, we hook into Page::isPublic and ProcessPageView::sendFile.
      public function hookPageIsPublic($e) { $page = $e->object; if($e->return && $this->isReleaseTimeSet($page)) { $e->return = false; } } The site/assets/files/ directory of pages, which isPublic() returns false, will get a '-' as prefix. This indicates ProcessWire (with activated $config->pagefileSecure) to check the file's permissions via PHP before delivering it to the client.
      The check wether a not-public file should be accessable happens in ProcessPageView::sendFile. We throw an 404 Exception if the current user must not see the file.
      public function hookProcessPageViewSendFile($e) { $page = $e->arguments[0]; if(!$this->canUserSee($page)) { throw new Wire404Exception('File not found'); } } Additionally we hook into ProcessPageEdit::buildForm to add the PageAccessReleasetime fields to each page and move them to the settings tab.
      Limitations
      In the current version, releasetime-protected pages will appear in wire('pages')->find() queries. If you want to display a list of pages, where pages could be releasetime-protected, you should double-check with $page->viewable() wether the page can be accessed. $page->viewable() returns false, if the page is not released yet.
      If you have an idea how unreleased pages can be filtered out of ProcessWire selector queries, feel free to write an issue, comment or make a pull request!

      Thanks to the great Pro module "RepeaterMatrix" I have the possibility to create complex repeater items. With it I have created a quite powerful page builder. Many different content modules, with many more possible design options. The RepeaterMatrix module supports the cloning of items, but only within the same page. Now I often have the case that very design-intensive pages and items are created. If you want to use this module on a different page (e.g. in the same design), you have to rebuild each item manually every time.
      With this proof of concept I have created a module which adds the feature to copy a repeater item to the clipboard so that you can paste this item to another page with the same repeater field. The module has been developed very rudimentarily so far. It is currently not possible to copy nested items. There is also no check of Min/Max. You can also only copy items that have the same field on different pages. And surely you can solve all this more elegantly with AJAX. But personally I lack the deeper understanding of the repeaters. Also missing on the Javascript side are event triggers for the repeaters, which would make it easier. Like e.g. RepeaterItemInitReady or similar.
      it would be great if @ryan would implement this functionality in the core of RepeaterMatrix. I think he has better ways to implement this. Or what do you think, Ryan?
      Everybody is welcome to work on this module and improve it, if it should not be integrated into the matrix core. Therefore I put it for testing and as download on GitHub: https://github.com/FlipZoomMedia/InputfieldRepeaterMatrixDublicate
      You can best see the functionality in the screencast:

      Hi,
      Please take a look at this:
      https://templatemag.com/demo/Good/
      The upper nav bar, including dropdowns like "pages" and "portfolios", what do you call this whole thing? At first I guess it's called "dropdown nav bar", but seems not.
      AND of course, what's the simplest way/module to achieve this in PW?
      Thanks in advance.

      This is a textformatter module that will automatically replace titles of other pages on your site with links to those pages. For example, if you have a template glossary-term, and mention the exact title of one page using that template in a textfield, the title will be automatically linked to that page (if the textfield uses that formatter). This is good for SEO, and saves you some manual labour. You can configure which templates should get automatically linked, and of course the formatter is only active for the fields you add this formatter to. Note that if you need more manual control over when and where titles are automatically linked, you're probably better of using Autolink from a Glossary by @mr-fan.
      Features
      Allows you to limit the automatic links by template. Only includes published & visible pages by default, with an option to include hidden pages. Automatically excludes the current page, with an option to change that behaviour. Allows you to configure the minimum title length for linked pages. Doesn't overwrite existing links, and detects most edge cases (titles inside other tag's attributes, titles inside existing links et c.). Supports multi-language sites. Titles will only be linked if a title in the current language is set. Can add configurable attributes to all automatically created links. Includes the ability to use page fields as replacement patterns for attributes. For example, you can create CSS classes that include the name of the template of the linked page. Prefer oldest or newest page in the case of duplicate titles. Queries the database directly for improved performance. Only queries the database once per request & language. Download & Documentation
      The module is now available in the modules directory: https://modules.processwire.com/modules/textformatter-page-title-links/
      You can download & install it through the backend using the classname TextformatterPageTitleLinks.
      To install it manually, download or clone the module from the Github repository into your site/modules folder and install through the backend.
      The complete documentation can be found in the README in the repository. Make sure to check out the module configuration page after installing the module.
      Requirements
      PHP 7.1 or higher ProcessWire 3+ (it will probably work in older versions, I haven't tested those though). This is my first module, I hope it may become useful to some of you 🙂
      If you find any errors or have some other suggestions or feedback, let me know!
