So I ran into a strange error this morning when trying to publish a page. I went to publish a new page under "clients", but I get an error that says "Cannot be published until errors are corrected". I thought perhaps I had missed a required field so I checked, but none of the fields are marked as required. I then checked to see if I could just add a basic page (default basic-page.php template) under the homepage, but I get the exact same error when trying to publish. When looking at the template, I don't see any error messages being displayed above any fields. The odd thing I found though was if I got to "settings" and uncheck "unpublished", I can then publish the page without errors. I did upgrade earlier today to the newest version to hopefully fix an issue I had yesterday (which it did). Has anyone run into this error before? **EDIT** Well, after a lot of staring and pulling my hair out, I found the issues. I had installed multi-language support sometime ago (and due to the project changing, had to remove it). Apparently in my haste, I did not remove all the dependencies so it was still trying to check for the multi-language title (I am guessing) even though it actually wasnt on the page. I went through the database and removed it and can now save/publish pages without issues.

Hi, I have been running a processwire based film magazine for more than 3 years now. The resources are wonderful, and the forums are full of information so much so that I did not have to ask a single question during the design process or later. I just added it in the showcase section when the site was done. http://projectorhead.in But in the last week I have been facing some real trouble and the forums dont seem to have anything related. The problem; Once in the admin section, I cannot publish any new content, pages that have some exisiting content, dont accept anything. If I wish to update module settings/ install or uninstall any new module, it does not work either. Every click on any button meant to achieve something in the admin leads to a 404 error in the front end. It started from one page but now nothing would change in the admin, it feels like it has become a hard ball of metal which would just not move. The attempts; 1. I upgraded the entire installation, thinking it was due to the outdated version. I am running the latest stable, 2.7.2, php version 5.6 2. I turned on the debug in config.php, it threw some notices and warnings, have fixed all barring one, where imagesize wants another variable, it hasnt created any issue in the past. 3. I cleared up all caches using the filemanager, removing cache files. Since the backend will not let me purge caches, I had to use the file manager. 4. I cleared the cache table from the phpmyadmin. 5. ProcessImageMinimize was throwing up errors, so I removed the calls from the template and deleted the module using file manager. 6. Saw some suggestion about the .htaccess rules, played around and nothing worked, however the .htaccess is being duly read and used by the server. I am out of options and having to stall the latest issue of our magazine, would really appreciate some quick help on what else I could try, possible solutions etc. I hope I have described the problem sufficiently, but if you need any more details, please ask. Best.

Hello there, I've already realized many projects with ProcessWire and would love to use it for a bigger project now. Maybe you can help and allay my doubts Enterprise Single Sign-On? We are currently using Microsoft SharePoint (2003…) as a publishing tool for our intranet web pages. This of course is no good solution concerning responsive design, flexibility and scalability. Because we are talking of a big company (about 9000 employees) it is important to protect the ProcessWire installation with an Enterprise Single Sign On (SSO). It seems like Shibboleth is a good solution to handle the communication between the Microsoft Server from the company and the Linux Apache for the intranet web page. Has anyone already used ProcessWire in an environment like this? It would be great to use the employees IDs and hand them viewing / editing rights for single pages. Permission Management for 9k users? Of course most of the employees should only get viewing rights. But it would be great being able to give editing restrictions for specific pages. As I understand this is something ProcessWire does not support with its core features – even though there are modules for this particular case. The question is: Is it responsible to build a big system based on many modules in consideration of future upgrading, scalability and co.? Looking forward to your comments on this Happy coding! wheelmaker24
