Autocomplete Module Class Name
Robin S posted a topic in Modules/PluginsAfter forgetting the class name of the wonderful AdminPageFieldEditLinks module for what feels like the 100th time I decided I needed to give my failing memory a helping hand... Autocomplete Module Class Name Provides class name autocomplete suggestions for the "Add Module From Directory" and "Add Module From URL" fields at Modules > New. Requires ProcessWire >= v3.0.16. Screencast Installation Install the Autocomplete Module Class Name module. Configuration Add Module From Directory Choose the type of autocomplete suggestions list: "Module class names from directory" or "Custom list of module class names". The latter could be useful if you regularly install some modules and would prefer a shorter list of autocomplete suggestions. The list of class names in the modules directory is generated when the Autocomplete Module Class Name module is installed. It doesn't update automatically (because the retrieval of the class names is quite slow), but you can use the button underneath when you want to retrieve an updated list of class names from the directory. Add Module From URL If you want to see autocomplete suggestions for the "Add Module From URL" field then enter them in the following format: [autocomplete suggestion] > [module ZIP url] Example: RepeaterImages > https://github.com/Toutouwai/RepeaterImages/archive/master.zip Awesomplete options The "fuzzy search" option uses custom filter and item functions for Awesomplete so that the characters you type just have to exist in the autocomplete suggestion item and occur after preceding matches but do not need to be contiguous. Uncheck this option if you prefer the standard Awesomplete matching. Custom settings for Awesomplete can be entered in the "Awesomplete options" field if needed. See the Awesomplete documentation for more information. https://github.com/Toutouwai/AutocompleteModuleClassName https://modules.processwire.com/modules/autocomplete-module-class-name/

Directory website with payments between users?
Vlad posted a topic in General SupportI'm quite new here and as you can imagine very attracted by ProcessWire. I'm intending on building a directory website where I have two types of users, more like airbnb if you want a more clear picture. Some make the listings, some pay for having the listings, or the services, while i get a percentage. Initially I was looking at Expression Engine as it had a flexible approach to building your website and then discovered PW. Now my question is, can I build such a directory website with PW where users can transfer money in return of some goods or services from other users? I'd also have to get some recurring payments for their membership later on when I have users. A map implementation is also needed, but I've seen some modules that do the trick. Expression Engine has much more plugins from what I've seen and probably also due to it's bigger community, but anyway PW seems attractive because I can start playing with it without having to buy, as in the case of Expression Engine. Just to mention that I'm a beginner to both of them, so at-least if I invest time in any of them, I want to know that what I need is possible. Thanks in advance!
Directory siteI have several ideas in mind for directory-based websites, and came across ProcessWire in my search for a starting point about a year ago. There are several good WordPress themes that are commercially available, but all the ones I've seen have various limitations that would preclude their use for what I have in mind. As a starting point for experimenting with ProcessWire, I had access to a list of churches and used that to develop a map-based directory here: Baptist Blue Book. The central issue for me was the map interface, and how to handle a reasonably large number of listings (~6,000) in that view (Most of the WordPress themes I had come across restricted the map view to a certain city, which I suspect was to limit the number of markers that had to be loaded.) A few notes: I'm using Ryan's Form Builder to accept suggestions for new listings. I liked having the packed solution for this, and the ability to control what happened to those submissions on the back end (e.g., the ability to hold them in a queue for review rather than posting immediately to the site). The church pages are subdivided by state (e.g., Directory > Texas > [church name]) by using a script to push a new listing to the proper sub-directory once it's approved. In hindsight, this may be an overly limiting approach, particularly for adapting it to international use, but once I had started on that path I needed to stick with it and focus on other issues. For the map view, a separate script pulls the latitude, longitude, and page-id from all listings and caches that in a JSON file. When the Map page is viewed, that file is retrieved and used to generate the markers. The content for the popups is only loaded as needed to minimize bandwidth. (Side note: I'm using MapBox for this, along with Leaflet and the MarkerCluster add-in.) All in all, I've been very pleased with the flexibility of ProcessWire, as well as the helpfulness of the community. I've also noticed several directory-type sites listed in the showcase, so I'm wondering if it might be useful to develop a module tailored to that application (or is each one so unique that this would not be feasible)? Any comments or feedback would be welcome. Brian

Yelp/Yellow Pages kind of site
beewee posted a topic in Getting StartedHi, after using the Geeklog CMS for several years, I'm developing a concept for a new (perhaps multilingual) website about harbours, marinas and everything a sailor needs. A kind of a linkdirectory/yellow pages website, where users can submit several information, comments and reviews, and some Google Maps (or Open SeaMap) overviews for every city or region in the Netherlands and Belgium. Perhaps also some commercial listings for restaurants etc. So, looking for a CMS that could fit my needs I found ProcessWire, and it looks really great! My question: I've got enough knowledge of html and css, but nearly no php knowledge. Can I build such a site with PW??
