  1. This site was recently launched and has been running great for the last few weeks. It is probably the largest PW project I have done; there is a lot of media to keep organized, this label has about 70 albums and over 400 artists... http://www.newfocusrecordings.com/ the homepage displays 12 random albums the catalogue page, uses datatables and loads the cover images on demand; the filtering is all done with the datatable, and the urls are updated without page reload... the album page: the pw version replaces a joomla version that was used for about 6 years.. and was a pain to work with; some modules: AdminCustomFiles AdminSaveActions AdminTemplateColumns AIOM+ FieldtypeColorPicker FieldTypeSelectFile (for selecting huge media instead of uploading into PW) FieldtypeTemplates (for selecting which template a certain support doc should show on) FormBuilder FormSaveReminder ImportPagesCSV (used to import some of the data from Joomla and Zoo) InputfieldSelectExtended (used to show additional info after a select action) PageReferencesTab PageTreeAddNewChildsReverse (new albums need to be at top of list) ProcessCustomUploadNames (to ensure the asset naming matches the catalog numbers) PageListerPro ProcessRedirects (for some legacy URLS) ProFields TextformatterBBCode (used for formatting of track and album titles with special characters, superscripts, bold, italic) VersionControl HannaCode SiteUtilities - a custom module that controls many helper functions, read id3 tags, move audio files, rename stuff etc.. some forum threads that relate to this project, and as always thank you to everyone who helped and more generally who take part in the forum! https://processwire.com/talk/topic/8366-setup-sharrre-sharing-widget-in-5-minutes/ https://processwire.com/talk/topic/8392-simple-built-in-docs/ https://processwire.com/talk/topic/8350-module-fieldtype-yaml/ I also work for this label, and have designed about 10 of the covers.. - - - - Special Features: Press View There is a user role called press, and on the user profile, site admins can select certain albums to allow access to for that press user. When the user logs in they can see which albums they have extended access to and then when they view the album there is an extended view and additional media and content. The page audio player will play full streams of the tracks, whereas the public view only plays the edited preview files; the presence of the full stream is indicated with a radio/wave icon.. left widget showing some extra content:
  2. This is a site for composer, conductor, and NYU composition professor Louis Karchin. http://louiskarchin.com/ The site is based around the works which are presented as a filterable datatable, with inline audio player (soundmanager2).. There is some ajax happening on the works page to pull up details about a work in a popup. a lot of the initial work was importing from the original site as well as from CSV files of the works, so there were various custom import/api scripts used to get all the data in.. As with other recent sites, this site has a admin docs section for reference, as well as inline docs on the edit page, using a simple module based on Nik's page references tab. also this uses the configurable widgets system: and i have an admin page for backups, though the backups run automatically on a cron (using the SmartBackup script): this site benefited from a lot of modules, namely: AdminCustomFiles AdminCustomPages PageDocsTab AdminPageSelectEditLlinks AIOM+ FieldtypeDataStructure FieldTypeTemplates InputfieldSelectExtended HannaCode ProcessRedirects ProcessDiagnostics Profields Table Formbuilder Procache Lister Pro
  3. new site just launched... http://www.charleswuorinen.com/ major modules that were essential: admin template columns AIOM+ colorpicker (for custom page background colors) Font Awesome Page Label Form Builder ProCache jQuery DataTables Modules Manager Changelog Get Video Thumbs Field Change Notifier Hanna Code Redirects Template Notes Version Control Some custom modules for auto page titles, and custom page for managing works Front end Bootstrap Masonry/Isotope Flexslider dataTables Magnific Popup Soundmanager2 Fresco lighbox html5 video (using jackbox) extensively used Hanna codes to output lists of links, PDFs in various places; hanna code is also outputting the music players, scrolling flexslider galleries etc; the compositions list is using dataTables, and shows extra info in a magnific lightbox, which loads from ajax... once again, a site that really could not have been realized without PW!
  4. Hi I try to build a simple basic responsive layout / profile with pocket grid... So it would be great to set additional values as variables. IE conditional comments could be build by a module to generate the needed code. I would use $config->styles and $config->scripts to build a filenameArray with needed css and js files. But how could a add additional values like media attribute or IE condition? Any idea to keep it simple? Last site media query styles were hard coded at page template file (a templateFile template ) before output $config->styles ... Maybe the media queries stylesheets with additional media information could be saved in a (config) page, but need a field with two textfields (filename, media information). Which fieldtype should be used in such a case? repeater, ProField table, ...?
  5. Just deployed a new PW site for a contemporary classical composer: http://www.jonathandawe.com/ AIOM Formbuilder ProCache Redirects MapMarker ImportPagesCSV MarkupSimpleNavigation Hanna Code Version Control Audio plugins used: Soundmanager2, 360 player with visualizer Fancy Music Player And thanks to the combination of AIOM, Procache and Cloudflare, the site seems to be very fast, gets a yslow of 96-98; Homepage Here is the sm2 circle player example with vis, overlaid on a relevant image: [goodbye joomla....!]
  6. On this page we have allowed the customer to create their own Paypal cart button for a list of products http://www.inspirefit.co.uk/clothing/ Previously, we would use the image resize functions built in to Processwire (you know image->size(200,150) and all that) but to make an image work in Bootstrap 3 we need to allow it to do it's thing - ie remove this sizing statement. Bootstrap then applies its css: width: 100%; height: auto; But... as you see on this page, the client has uploaded massive images and the system has not cached anything. Giving us an undesirable pages of well sized but big image files. Is there a solution to this at all?
  7. Hi, I'm based in the UK, I run a small business and I have regular work coming in and I use a CMS on all websites. If you're developer in the UK who can install Processwire then contact me. If you can build responsive sites as well, that's a bonus. Please contact me through PM. Thanks. Regards, Tom.

  12. Since everyone (mostly) are nattering on about responsive templates of one sort or another, though you all might be interested in this little article that I found giving a rough sum up of a pile of responsive frameworks. Not all, by any means, but not a bad little collection: http://designshack.net/articles/css/which-is-right-for-me-22-responsive-css-frameworks-and-boilerplates-explained/ Joss
