  1. Hello processwire community, I am a total CMS beginner and I am trying to install processwire on my mac. I have downloaded processwire using git and loaded the location, where the files where downloaded into chrome, safary or opened the location from the terminal. No installation guide startet. I just typed the directory location into the browsers url address bar and could see all the files that were downloaded. When I tried to open installl.php file, my browser just showed me the code. I think I am missing something trivial. Do I need to install a specific PHP version and MySQL first? Or do I need to set up an Apache server first. I am very thankful for every suggestion/help I can get. Thank you
  2. Hi mac users ? As the title say, which window manager are you using as an alternative to Finder ? I was used to do everything with Path Finder since version 6, but the version 8 is too bugged to feel good giving a buck on their app again ? I tried today Commander One, but it lack too much productive functionalities, stuck to two panels, no sync.. Thanks.
  3. Hi, I'm still subscribed to Carl Alexander's blog, which I do not read too often, but his bard new article might be interesting for web developers, especially for those working on a Mac. As he writes: "This article goes through the entire process of setting up my new MacBook Pro. It's pretty exhaustive because I talk about why I chose some of the tools that I'm using. I also go over some of the tools that I tried out and didn't end up using." https://carlalexander.ca/2016-macbook-pro-setup/
  4. I have used Cyberduck for a lot of time, and well, it does the job. Keeps my bookmarks, easy to use and allows a custom text editor. But I am always looking for tools to make my workflow faster and painless. Do you guy have a recommendation to change to another client? Maybe due to featurewise benefits? For example, the file sync in Transmit looks promising. Forklift also looks promising. Anyone working with these? Note: I have tried sync with Cyberduck, but for some reason, I can't never get it to work correctly, or as I expected, one time I even replaced my whole folder with empty files. (I probably did something wrong myself, I know)
  5. Hi Mac Pros out there, what is your experience with the new Mac OS? Did you upgrade your machines? Everything running smooth? Or did you decide to wait a little longer to be on the safe side? My MBP is stil Ma-ve-ri-cking ...
  6. Hi there! I've got a little, annoying problem at the moment. I'm working on a local Linux web server wich is connected to my Mac via AFP (netatalk). Based on this network configuration the system creates directories with the name ".AppleDouble" in every Directory on the network share. My problem with ProcessWire is, that somewhere in ProcessWire the must be automatic includes. They are including the files in the .AppleDouble directories and this causes a fatal error on ProcessWire. On the error pages I see some cryptic chars (origin must be the content of .AppleDoble directories) and then a 500 Error. In the logs the error: Error: Class 'PagePermissions' not found (line 308 of ..../wire/core/Modules.php) appears. I know, it is NOT a problem of ProcessWire, it's a problem of my network configuration, but I'd like to know, where exactly the automatic includes are, so I maybe can fix it on my own. Any Ideas, where to start? If this problem may concern other users as well, maybe the automatic includes can be filtered to skip such directories? Just an idea. Thanks in advance! Greets!
