This week I’m happy to report we now have WEBP image support in ProcessWire thanks to a GitHub pull request from Horst Nogajski. This enables you to have highly optimized image output in PW and I think you’ll really like the difference it makes. Read on for all the details.

The ProcessWire installer now lets you choose a site profile. New site profile exporter is far better than the previous. Support for append/prepend files on a per-template basis
ProcessWire 3.0.12 now supports the ability to use extended (UTF-8) page names, meaning your URLs can now have just about any characters that you want!

This week we've been focused on one of the major 3.x roadmap items, which is to have strong Composer support in ProcessWire. Plus we've got a new module that demonstrates installation by Composer and Google's Client API with Google Calendar.
ProcessWire 3.0.18 continues from last week, making major upgrades to our images field. This week we got into some of the finer details, and we've got plenty for you to look at here, as well as a screencast to demonstrate it all.
This week's version of ProcessWire adds several new panels that provide simpler and more direct access to the page tree, page view and debug tools. New page view options also include multi-language selection and configuration support. And if that's not enough, we've also got utf8mb4 support and more!
