About West End Summit
The West End Summit is a mixed use development currently approved for construction in Nashville, Tennessee. The complex consists of two towers, one being an office, and the other having an InterContinental Hotel, 47 residences, retail, restaurants, health club, and a resort spa. The project has received criticism from the public because of its numerous construction delays and billing agreements. Harmon Inc. filed a lawsuit saying it is owed $120,000 by Alex S. Palmer, the project's developer, and general contractor Bovis Lend Lease. Construction has been suspended for about a year as the developer deals with the credit crunch and is awaiting an anchor tenant for the office portion of the project. Some citizens of Nashville have begun to call the resulting construction hole "Lake Palmer." This 80 foot deep hole is now mostly filled with rain water.
