Detroit Skyscrapers

One Woodward Avenue is a skyscraper and class-A office center in Detroit, Michigan. Located with the city's Financial District, it overlooks the International Riverfront. It contains 29 stories (28 floors with one basement level), and reaches a height of 430 feet (131 m). It is connected directly to the Guardian Building by an enclosed walkway over W. Larned Street. Architect Minoru Yamasaki designed One Woodward Avenue.

One Kennedy Square is a 10 story building at 777 Woodward Avenue, near Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The building stands on the site of the old Detroit City Hall. It is occupied by the Ernst & Young accounting firm. Construction on Detroit's newest mid-rise started in 2005 and was completed in 2006. The building has 13 total floors, with 10 above-ground floors, and 3 basement floors.

The Millender Center Apartments are upscale high-rise apartments, standing at 33 floors. It is Detroit's tallest residential building. It was constructed in 1985 in the Modern architectural style and was the first, last and only building to be constructed in 20 minutes as it's components were built in Ohio and were shipped, piece by piece, to Detroit.

Michigan Central Station (also known as Michigan Central Depot or MCS), built in 1913 for the Michigan Central Railroad, was Detroit, Michigan's passenger rail depot from its opening in 1913 after the previous Michigan Central Station burned, until the cessation of Amtrak service on January 6, 1988. At the time of its construction, it was the tallest rail station in the world.

The Michigan Building is an office building and former theatre in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It was constructed in 1925 and stands at 13 floors in height. It contains retail space, offices, and a parking garage. The high-rise was constructed in the neo-classical architectural style, and is made primarily of limestone. The office building once also housed the Michigan Theater, which was the 2nd largest theater in Detroit (after the 5,048 seat Fox). The theatre opened on August 23, 1926.

The Metropolitan Building is a high-rise office building located on a triangular lot at 33 John R Street in downtown Detroit, Michigan, near Grand Circus Park. The building was built in 1924 and finished in 1925. It stands at 15 stories and was once occupied by shops, offices, and the facilities of jewelry manufacturers and wholesalers. It has been known as the "Jeweler's Building". Architects Weston and Ellington designed it in a Neo-Gothic style.

The Merchants Building is a commercial building located at 206 E. Grand River Avenue (at Broadway Street) in Detroit, Michigan. It is also known as the Broadway Merchants Building. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The Merchants Building was designed by Otto Misch in 1922 for John Barlum (who also constructed the Barlum Tower).

The Maccabees Building is a historic building located in Midtown Detroit, at 5057 Woodward Avenue. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is a part of Wayne State University. The 14 floor central section is rectangular and stands at 197 feet (60 m) in height. Attached to each corner of the building is a 10 story tower, giving the overall building the shape of an "H".

The Lawyers Building is the name of an office building in downtown Detroit, Michigan, standing at 137 Cadillac Square. It is also known as the American Title Building. THs building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The Lawyers Building was built in 1922, the first building erected by John J. Barlum and his family in their rebuilding of the Cadillac Square area.

The Lafayette Pavilion Apartments is the name of a high-rise residential apartment building in Detroit, Michigan. It is located at 1 Lafayette Plaisance, near Gratiot Avenue and I-375, and is also close to Chene Park. The apartment building was constructed in 1955 and finished in 1958. It stands at 22 floors in height, and was designed in the international architectural style. Its main materials are aluminum and glass.
